During the years in my corporate career, I found art making helped me to achieve a peaceful place within my mind and body. I hope those feelings come through as you see my art or that you take up creating art in your own life to see the healing effects it can have.

The Corporate Creative

Years into a fast-paced corporate career, my mind never seemed to rest. I was always thinking, planning and moving to the next thing. Then I found myself in an art class- and something shifted. For the first time in a long while, my mind grew quiet. Art became my refuge.

That experience stayed with me. Eventually, I stepped away from that career to create an art business rooted in what I had discovered: art has the power to slow us down, calm the body and bring us back to ourselves. Now I wish to share this knowledge with others that may find themselves in a similar pattern.

Art isn’t just something we make - it’s something that makes space for us to breathe.

artist statement

When I sit with my canvas or paper, I am truly just being present with the moment. I have no thoughts as to what I will make, only that I am here to feel, to process, to express my emotions or mood. I often find that the painting comes to life and has a story to tell.

Today, my story is truly influenced by my background in the corporate world, and how the practice of making art helped me to find space for myself.

The time I gave myself to do art, I allowed my mind to rest, my body to feel supported and my whole being to find peaceful moments.

Now, I sell original artwork, prints, as well as provide art tutorials for busy people that wish to find time for themselves, and use the creative tools to find balance in their lives.
