Stepping back, zooming out

Ever look so closely at something and it becomes blurry? Sometimes clarity comes when we take the time to zoom out. When we provide enough space between us and a situation, us and a relationship or us and our daily tasks…we may discover something absolutely brilliant.

What would happen if we all gave ourselves the gift of time? It could look like 10 extra minutes in the morning to gaze outside, or 2 hours every Wednesday night for a class you have been curious about, or even a 5 minute breathing break between meetings. When we gift ourselves time we may find that questions start to arise. Questions like - is this the life I really want? Do I feel passion with how I am living? How does my body feel right now? What is it that I am missing, or what makes me feel good?

Protecting our time and allowing ourselves space opens up a new field of thinking. When I create a zoom out effect in my day, I find direction. It becomes a strategy I go back to time and time again. Space has helped me to look at my life differently, it gave a new perspective that aligned with my heart. From that perspective, I was able to choose small daily movements heading in the path I wished for my life. To live more fully, integrate creativity, be present, find contentment and joy in daily living. It’s all available, it just takes perspective and vision. Vision requires a clear picture of where you want to go.

This is a friendly reminder to zoom out from time to time.
